Description
I fitted a Funk Vector F.X (also referred to as FXR, actually is F-dot-cross) tonearm to a friend's LP12. While tearing things down I went in and re-tightened everything to the 'table a la Linn... then I got carried away and treated in the insides with some TA-102 damping tape material by f0.Q. This stuff is amazing and can be used to "adhere it to the surface of the audio components, such as the speakers, the amplifiers, the CD players, the audio racks, the power supply boxes, etc." The end result turned out very positive Better low level detail and "snap" on percussive notes and all around better focus and sense of air. The arm is a little monster, driving the Transfiguration Phoenix in the grooves very nicely.
