Listening to Midival Punditz. You'd have to love electronic, accept hip hop & some profanity, like Indian instruments and melodies, and accept covers (Four Sticks - Zeppeliin). I'm diggin' 'em!! I'd start with the track called "Desolate."

They're on a record label with Pacifika, Babel Gilberto, The Real Tuesday Weld, and Ojos de Brujo (they were on Jools Holland, I think). Some great bands there!! I recommend all the previous for different reasons.

Dave Clark Have their stuff here... very good. Even saw them perform with Bill Laswell once. the name comes from being pundits of the midi.365 days ago
  • Ian Anderson's new release "Thick As A Brick 2"
Joe Deninzon & Stratospeerius - "The Next World"
    Both are very cool!

"watched" (really listened) to the Heartless Bastard video that Josh uploaded and I remembered that I really enjoy many of the artists on that record label (Fat Possum Records). Their motto is "We're trying our best." Yeah, bands I've enjoyed: Spiritualized, The Black Keys, Heartless Bastards, Junior Kimbrough, Andrew Bird, Dinosaur Jr. Wow, quite a label. I recommend the label (and the music), wholeheartedly.

  • Started off the day preparing for the Bonnie Raitt concert I'll be taking the missus and friends to at the end of summer, just ripping all the CDs into iTunes and letting fly. Moved on to Air's Pocket Symphony, which inspired me to download a couple of Gong albums I hadn't heard in years. Now I'm listening to Michael's pick Daniel Martin Moore and Joan Shelley's newest (downloaded, no CD because I

Recommend recordings to your fellow audiophiles.
Saturday, 02 January 2010 by AudioEvo.org

Dear friends,

I changed the name of this group from 'Albums' to 'Recommend Music' because I feel the new title better describes the mission of this group.  What I'd like to encourage is for everybody to share the favorite recordings so the rest of us can benefit from your experience.

So, join the group and visit every time you've found another great record or every time you're looking for a new piece of music to listen to.

Best,

JB

I had a PM conversation with him today. He is pretty proud of the quality of the recording and production. He checked out several studios, and as he put it, paid a lot of extra of his own money, to get the best the studio had to offer. I'm looking forward to hearing his new CD, which should be here next week.
