General discussion about analog audio sources.
Monday, 21 June 2010 by AudioEvo.org

You are here because of your interest in high-end audio and music. We welcome you to participate in our online community.

Here are some rules to insure that our groups remain interesting, educational, and fun:

  1. Stick to the topic of the group. This way information is easily categorized to make it easy for new members to access. Threads or posts that do not contain relevant information will be removed.
  2. Trolling - members who make a conscious effort to inflame or irritate others will be subject to warnings and/or bans.
  3. The discussion of politics and religion is irrelevant to good audio and is, therefore, not allowed in this group.
  4. Pornography and violent images are not allowed on this forum.
  5. No baiting or fighting. Personal attacks, trouble making, inappropriate language, or any threatening or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
  6. No spam. Any member soliciting spam will be warned and/or banned.
  7. Do not brand bash. We're all in this together. Discuss what you like and dislike. But don't bash someone or something because you don't like it.
  8. Be respectful of new members. Welcome the new groupies. You don’t want to be the last audiophile, do you?

Obviously, AudioEvo.org's Terms & Conditions apply as well.

I should have said "I'm NOT thinking about anything, I'm Feeling it." (towards the end there) LOVE your last line Dean, and I do get what ya mean..

Hey Greg. Thanks for the ideas. I can handle the mechanical repairs, but I'm ignorant with regard to this particular table. I'll keep searching for info. Thanks, Joel.

Update: After reading a LOT of reviews on VDH retipping, Soundsmith, and couple of more... I decided to send my Cart to Soundsmith.... I hope Peter makes the wait worth it! 12 weeks plus another 2 for the mailing will HAVE to be endured!

Russ, member David Garrettson built his own from a kit that was delveloped by an Austrailian, can't recall his name, but he still has plans and schematics for it, I believe. Dave is very knowledgeable, and has helped me many times over the years. Try contacting him, the controller he built is supposed to be a very good one. Feel free to mention my name, if it is necessary. Good luck, Dan Thomason

I just heard from Lloyd Walker from Walker Audio and he says that the enzymes should last two to three years as long as the cap on the container is kept tight. He says that the jar he is using is about two years old and it's still fine. That said, the enzymes are the least expensive replacement item in the kit at just $18 a jar, so it's no big deal to buy some more when the time is right.
