The main course was Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Live in Tokyo. A lively, rockin' set from this acoustic guitar duo with a killer flamenco style cover of Stairway to Heaven. Huge dynamics and deep bass on this recording from the percussive snap and slap of their playing style. Fun stuff.
Get this and enjoy it before it turns into the next Keith Don't Go burnout demo track.

Recently picked up: KD Lang - Absolute Torch and Twang Charlotte Sometimes - Waves & the Both of Us (She was a contestant on The Voice, and I thought she was going to win the whole thing. This is a CD she released in 2008, and it's actually pretty good!) Got both disks through Amazon for $1.00!
Started off the day preparing for the Bonnie Raitt concert I'll be taking the missus and friends to at the end of summer, just ripping all the CDs into iTunes and letting fly. Moved on to Air's Pocket Symphony, which inspired me to download a couple of Gong albums I hadn't heard in years. Now I'm listening to Michael's pick Daniel Martin Moore and Joan Shelley's newest (downloaded, no CD because I'm impatient).
I just got a CD from Daniel Martin Moore today Dean (had downloaded files too)! That's law of attraction ****. and I also listen to Air's Pocket Symphony often!!
SO glad youre feelin it. I just got the physical, Will lace you with it ASAP ( you are my editor after all) - Barrows had taken his Portishead darkness and wrapped it around guitar slabs and baselines
Fiona Apple - The Idler Wheel is Wiser... Glen Hansard - Rhythm & Repose Debo Band - Self-Titled debut (out soon on Sub Pop) Jaill - Traps Jack Johnson & Friends - Best of Kokua Festival (AWESOME)
I spin it a lot, addicted to those drum and bass lines. After Mr. Dave Clark share it in here, finding awesome stuff like this sweet ! And now 5 more records to listen to...
I reviewed both of their records for PFO - as a Portishead fan, I was psyched to hear my friend is doing their press! I'm hoping to interview Geoff Barrows soon. My review of their last record: http://positive-feedback.com/Issue61/beak.htm
